Bank security email - fake?
yes it is a scam- just delete it and any similar emails that you receive, even if they come from your own bank. Never, ever follow link embedding in an email - always go to the bank's web site by typing in the address yourself.
Reply:Whenever bank needs your attention, they'll call you or send a snail-mail letter. My banks also uses internal messaging service which delivers to my account inbox, but it has nothing to do with emails.
You may get similar scams "on behalf of" ebay, bank of America, paypal, Microsoft and other reputable institutions. I tend to report such.
Reply:If you're not a customer it's definately not authentic.
Banks make lots of money, they can afford to employ people who can spell and construct senances correctly.
NEVER reply to emails like that.
IF you get one that appears to be from your own bank DO NOT use any of the links on the email.
You must go to your bank's home page by typing in the address bar of your browser eg. "www.lloydstsb.com" and login as normal.
Reply:Fake, utterly fake.
NEVER EVER EVER reply to emails that say anything like this, especially if you are not a customer (!) and it asks you to verify your details. Report it to them here: http://nationwide.co.uk/security/default...
Reply:The simplest way to check is to call the bank, but don't call based on the phone number in this email. Go to the official bank website and verify with them
Reply:yessssssssssssssssss its a scam dont touch it with a barge pole and you might like to ring your bank and report it.
your bank never ever asks you by email to verify your account .
Reply:It is a scam, a very old scam too. People should remember banks do NOT send out e-mails to there customers on matters relating to there accounts nor do they telephone you to discus your account
Reply:It's a Phising Site. Do not give it ANY information about you / your credit card / ANYTHING. Just delete it and move on with your life.
Reply:IF your going to deal with your bank
MAKE SURE YOU DO IT IN PERSON
never do it over the internet or anything near the net
always make sure your there, in person
Reply:You dont bank with nationwide and you are asking if its a fake email?!
Reply:your bank will never send you an email so its a scam
Reply:Yes it's trying to get your account info. Don't bite the bullet.
Reply:It's probably a scam, I'd ignore it.
